The closest airport for our Lazy Winch holidays base is Split (SPU) about 25 - 45 mins by car. We can arrange air conditioned 4x4 transfers for GBP £35 per vehicle each way for up to four guests or Minibus for 8 at GBP£60 each way.
A taxi, if available, will cost about 60 euros for up to 4 people. It is possible to get to us by public transport by taking two buses. Split city is 1 hour by bus and the ferry port is next to the coach station making it easy to arrive from Italy by boat with a car if preffered.
Dubrovnik airport is about five hours by coach and Zagreb about 4 hours. Zadar airport is approximately 90 mins drive. Ljubljiana and Trieste airports are about 4 1/2 hours by motorway.
For bareboat charter's it will depend on where your yacht is based please ask our advice, although all our Croatianand Montenegrin partners offer transfers from City, ferry and Airports to the yachts.

Direct Scheduled flights on Croatian airways and BA take about 2 hours 30 minutes from London terminals. These flights tend to get booked up pretty quickly for the high season and you will need to book well in advance to get the best prices. BA from LGW start at GBP £99 return. BA All European hubs now have direct flights into Split.
For north American visitors Lufthansa from east coast gateways is normally the most cost effective at about USD $1000 return. Antipodean visitors are normally better flying to London and transferring to one of the lo-cost no frills airlines.

We can arrange transfers for our crewed charter holidays from Split SPU airport. There are direct bus links from Dubrovnik city to our base at Marina Agana allow 5 hours. There are direct bus links from Zadar city to our base at Marina Agana allow 2 ½ hours.
As with all no frills services the earlier you book the better the price the flights are on sale now.
A number of European airlines, particulary East European, fly to Split or Dubrovnik via a major European city or direct to Zagreb with a short internal flight to the coast. Also it is possible to get to Split now using low cost airlines via a European hub; German Wings fly London to Split via Cologne. Sky Europe and Easy Jet Luton- Bratisslava Bratislava -Split with Sky Europe.
You can fly to Zadar, Trieste or Pula or Rijeka with Ryanair or Ljubljana with Easy jet and hire a car it is a 90 minute drive from Zadar and 41/2 hours from the other airports to Marina on the new Zagreb - Split motorway. One way car hire is available from Rijeka, Ljubljana and Zadar. Wizz air also fly to Zagreb. Alternatively fly to Dubrovnik and drive north up to Marina or your charter base again one way hire is usually available.
The ferry option
Pick up a cheap Ryan air flight to Ancona Bari, or Pescara and take the overnight ferry. A transfer to the yacht from the Ferry terminal can be arranged. Ferry times
Ancona
Ryanair now fly to Ancona. From here, you can take an overnight ferry across the Adriatic - at present the flight timetable sees flights arriving in Ancona at a suitable time for you to be able to catch a late-night ferry the same day.
Blue line offer overnight sailings to Split; Jadrolinija do as well.
Italian company SNAV offer a fast, 4-hour, daytime service which departs Ancona at 11am. Runs summer months only
Pescara
Ferry service runs in summer months only SNAV have a fast catamaran service from Pescara to Split from late June to mid-September.Fly to Ancona and get the train or direct to Pescara with a low cost airline.
Bari
In 2004, Ryanair started flight services to Bari. Flights arrive mid-morning, meaning that the late-night ferry to Dubrovnik can be caught the same day. Ferries to Dubrovnik are operated by two companies: Jadrolinija (all year) and Agestea (summer only). Dubrovnik is about 250 Kms from Split.
We are often chosen by guests who would like to extend their time in Croatia either before or after sailing with us in order to visit Dubrovnik , Plitivice lakes or maybe Slavonia, Slovenia or Montenegro. The transport system and road network in Croatia makes this a really easy add on to your trip either with hire car or the excellent coach network. For example the coach to Dubrovnik stops a few hundred meters from our base at Marina Agana.
